Direct-to-consumer is a business model in which a company sells its product directly to the consumer without the use of intermediaries, such as wholesalers or retailers.
The direct-to-consumer model has been adopted by many industries and companies, including but not limited to food, retail, fashion and beauty.
Direct to consumers are often able to sell products at a higher price point than other retailers because they do not have the expense of maintaining an inventory. They also tend to have lower operating costs than other retailers because they do not need their own warehouses or distribution networks.
